Product Lifecycle Policy
This page explains how product lifecycle dates are calculated for each product in the KX portfolio.

Semantic Versioning
Semantic versioning is used for KX products.
Key Features
Standard Support
For all KX products, with the exception of kdb+ and PyKX, support is provided for 12 months from the general availability (GA) release date. This applies to major and minor version releases.
- kdb+ is supported for 24 months after the release of two subsequent versions.
- PyKX is supported for all minor versions releases in the previous 24 months and at a minimum of 3 minor release versions.
End Of Standard Support
After these durations, standard support for the product ceases. Refer to extended support.
Long-term Support
For all KX products, with the exception of those listed below, long-term support (LTS) is provided for 24 months. For the designated LTS version, review the long-term support section for each product.
The following products do not have designated long-term support versions:
- kdb+
- PyKX
Extended Support
Extended support can be made available for designated long-term support releases. For details about this contact KX Sales sales@kx.com.
