HAProxy¶
This page explains that HAProxy is no longer recommended as of KX Sensors v3, describing which service classes it replaced and the v3 equivalent.
HAProxy is a third-party TCP load balancer that was previously recommended as part of highly available KX Sensors deployments. It is no longer recommended or required as of v3. HAProxy provided redundant network paths to processes of which there only existed a single primary instance within the cluster at any given time:
- Delta Control (DC)
- Messaging Server (MS)
- Query Router (QR)
These service classes no longer exist in KX Sensors v3. The equivalent of the QR is the Gateway (GW). In v3, a GW exists on every node and can service requests.
